Our Pastor

The anointing and gifting of Our Pastor, Elder Jeffrey T. Rainey is a viable, vital, and valuable vein in the Body of Christ. The ministry of Elder Jeffrey T. Rainey has been a quality ministry but a quiet ministry. It is a ministry expecting exposure, expansion, and explosion. Elder Rainey entered the Gospel Ministry August 16, 1981 and has since experienced a growing ministry. His gift to dissect the Scriptures and deliver the sermons has demanded his service across the nation.

• Married to the former Carolyn Suzette Hunter.
• Two daughters: Caryn (Brandon) Scott and Carmen (Brandon) Brown and Grandson (Caleb Scott)
• Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
• Member of the Alpha Chapter of the Martin Luther King Service Organization at Alabama A & M University
• Listed among Who’s Who among American College and University Students in 1980
• Graduated from Alabama A & M University in 1982 with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration
• Attended Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in the Master of Divinity Program 1982-1984 A & M. University from 1983 - 1984
• Listed among Outstanding Young Men of America in 1984
• Elected in 1984 to serve as the Fourth and First full-time pastor of the Christian Union Primitive Baptist Church
• Served as Dean of the Mobile Primitive Baptist District from 1990 – 1998
• Served as Dean of the West Alabama Primitive Baptist Association from 1991 – 2001
• Served as Assistant Financial Secretary of the National Primitive Baptist Convention U.S.A. from 1992 – 1998
• Served as the Bible Expositor of the National Primitive Baptist Convention, U.S.A. for 25 Years from 1998-2022
• Elected in 2001 to serve as Vice-Moderator of the West Alabama Primitive Baptist Association
• Authored “The Primitive Baptist Church Covenant” Leader’s Guide and Student Guide – 2011
